Ashton Lattimore is the editor-in-chief of Prism, an independent nonprofit newsroom led by journalists of color whose reporting disrupts harmful narratives and informs movements for justice. She is the author of forthcoming debut novel THE FREE CITY (Ballantine Books), a work of historical fiction centered on Black women and abolition in nineteenth century Philadelphia.
