Kameel Mir
Kameel Mir is a 2016 graduate of the University of Georgia, where she studied English literature, international affairs, and Arabic. After working on the Hillary Clinton presidential campaign and in an immigration law firm after graduation, Kameel felt the need to return to her roots in Atlanta, Georgia in order to parse the country's increasingly maddening political direction. Aside from reporting for Scalawag, Kameel writes fiction and works for the Book Festival of the MJCCA.
